These Terms set out the rules for using alexander-burton.com and for anything you buy through it. By browsing the site or placing an order, you're agreeing to them, so please read them. If any part doesn't sit right with you, the simplest thing is not to use the site. Throughout this page, "Alexander Burton," "we," and "our" refer to the operator of this website, and "you" refers to the person using it.

Who may use this site
When you use Alexander Burton, you're confirming that:
- You're 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, or you have a parent or guardian's permission
- Anything you tell us is true and up to date
- You'll use the site within the law, never for anything fraudulent or harmful
We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion.

What you agree not to do
While using the site, you agree that you won't:
- Break any law, or step on anyone else's rights
- Probe, disrupt, or interfere with how the site runs or its security
- Point bots, scrapers, or other automated tools at our content or data
- Introduce malware, or attempt access you're not entitled to
- Resell our products or trade on our brand without our written say-so

Products, pricing, and availability
We put real effort into keeping descriptions, images, and prices correct, but a few honest caveats apply:
- Color and fine detail can read differently from one screen to the next
- Now and then an error in a description, in stock status, or in a price can slip through
- We may fix any such error, refresh the information, or cancel an affected order even after it's placed, including where a price was plainly wrong
All prices are shown in US dollars and apply to orders shipped within the United States. Prices and availability can change at any time, without notice.

Placing an order
Submitting an order is an offer to buy, not a completed sale on its own. Your order is only accepted once we send you a confirmation or the order ships. We may decline, cap, or cancel any order, including where we suspect fraud, hit a payment issue, spot a pricing error, or run short on stock. In placing an order, you confirm the payment method is yours and that you're authorized to use it.

Payment and tax
Payment is processed at checkout through our secure third-party providers. You authorize us to charge your chosen method for the full order total, taxes and shipping included. We don't store your full card details.

Shipping and delivery
We ship inside the United States only. Delivery estimates are just that, estimates rather than guarantees, and can be affected by things beyond our control. Once your order is handed to the carrier, responsibility for it passes to you. Full timings and costs live in our Shipping Policy.

Returns, refunds, and cancellations
These run under our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In brief: a 45-day return window from delivery, items sent back in original condition, return postage covered by you, and approved refunds issued to your original payment method within 2 business days of us checking the return. Orders can be cancelled before they're processed or shipped, and after that the return process applies. The full detail sits in the Return and Refund Policy.

Content you submit
If you post a review, a photo, or anything else on our site, it stays yours, but you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and share it in connection with our business. Please don't post anything unlawful, offensive, or that isn't yours to give. We may take down content at our discretion.

Our intellectual property
Everything on this site, the name, the logo, the words, the images, the graphics, and the design, belongs to Alexander Burton or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or otherwise use any of it without our written permission.

Other sites and services we link to
The site may rely on or link out to third-party tools and websites. We don't control those, and we're not responsible for their content, their policies, or how they operate. If you use them, you do so at your own risk and under their terms.

No warranties
The site and our products are offered "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind beyond those that can't legally be set aside. We don't promise the site will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limit of our liability
So far as the law allows, Alexander Burton is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising out of your use of the site, our products, or any delay, error, or interruption. Where we are found liable, our total liability will not exceed what you paid for the order in question.

Indemnity
You agree to cover us and hold us harmless against any claims, losses, or costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your misuse of the site, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of any law or third-party right.

Resolving disputes
If something goes wrong, reach out to us first, since most issues are settled quickly and informally that way. Any dispute that can't be resolved between us will be governed by the laws of the State of New York, and, where the law permits, will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association rather than in court. You and we each waive any right to bring or join a class action. Nothing here stops either of us from bringing an eligible claim in small-claims court instead.

Which law applies
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in New York have jurisdiction, except where arbitration applies.

General
- If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still stands
- If we don't enforce a term, that isn't us giving it up
- You can't transfer your rights under these Terms, though we may transfer ours
- These Terms, together with the policies they refer to, are the whole agreement between us
- We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control

Updates to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page under the "last updated" date shown above, and continuing to use the site means you accept any changes.
